Government Affairs - Safety

Your employees' well-being and safety is directly tired to your company's productivity and profitability.  In short, it has been illustrated that an increased focus on safety pays huge dividends to your bottom line.

Show the initiative to improve safety conditions in your workplace and you can open the door to a world of money-savings opportunities that will ultimately improve your company's profitability.  There are numerous resources available to help you with the process.

ARA's Safety Committee was established in April 2012 and is chaired by Past President, Doug Reinert.  The Committee is made up of 20 members from over ten different states. It includes auto recyclers with businesses of ten to over 100 employees as well as environmental and safety consultants and directors, a regional director and an affiliate representative.  CAR and ARAU representatives participate in the biweekly meetings when possible.

To date, the Committee has developed 5 safety tips/protocols and is working with the CAR program to ensure appropriate educational/resource references and links are included in the CAR Safety Manual.  These tips are available below under Additional Resources.
