Record Number of International Attendees Expected for ARA's 71st Annual Convention and Exposition

MANASSAS, VA – The Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) announced today that professional automotive recyclers and automotive industry executives from over 10 countries so far have registered to attend ARA's upcoming 71st Annual Convention and Exposition.  The Association's Annual Convention and Exposition will take place October 22-25, 2014 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

"We are excited to welcome attendees from around the globe," said ARA President, Ed MacDonald.  "Automotive recycling business owners and our automotive industry partners recognize that ARA's Annual Convention and Exposition is the premier event of the automotive recycling industry, and we are looking forward to showing them everything that our program has to offer." Attendees are expected from as far away as New Zealand, the Netherlands, Japan, Estonia, and the Russian Federation.

"One of the greatest attractions for international attendees are our top-notch educational sessions," said ARA CEO, Michael E. Wilson.  "This year's educational and training program is focused on seven key areas:  business management, future technology, operations, profitability, salesmanship, sustainability, and global perspectives."  Other highlights include tours of Nissan North America's manufacturing plant, 12 hours of Exposition with  over 100 exhibitors, a networking breakfast for the Ladies of the Automotive Recyclers Association, and the Annual Awards Dinner and Presidential Gavel Passing.

ARA's Annual Convention and Exposition consistently draws automotive recycling facility owners and managers, industry experts, auction dealers, insurance personnel, rebuilders, body shop personnel, collision repairers, scrap dealers and the press.
