Automotive Recyclers Association 67th Annual Exposition Opens in Austin, Texas with Excitement and Nostalgia for One Exhibitor
"Diamond Sponsor" Brock Supply Co. Celebrates Milestone at ARA's Premier Event
Manassas, VA The Automotive Recycling Association (ARA) celebrates with Diamond Sponsor Brock Supply Co. on their milestone of 50 years in business at the association's 67th Annual Exposition, held October 21-23 in Austin, Texas. "We are celebrating 50 years in business, and just opened a new distribution center in Texas, so it is good year for us to be an ARA Diamond Sponsor," says Jerry Brock, Founder and President of Brock Supply Co. "We are proud to have attended every convention, and exhibited at every trade show, since becoming an ARA member in 1968. That's 42 years of history with the ARA."
Mr. Brock's dedication to the ARA comes from a lifelong involvement in the industry. Raised in a family auto salvage business, he became an automotive recycler (with a sideline of towing), and then transitioned to a hotlines owner, and subsequently to his current role as an industry supplier. Today he has built a solid reputation as a national leader in the wholesale auto parts industry through Brock Supply Co., which has over 400,000 shipments a year and growing.
Brock recently honored his roots in the automotive recycling industry. In the 1960s, he was responsible for towing wrecked vehicles that he had bought for his salvage yard. This year, he completed his dream of restoring a replica of this tow truck, a 1958 Chevy, Holmes 525 Wrecker. "The restoration process has brought back so many memories of what this industry used to be like," said Brock. "It is nice to remember all the individuals I've worked with and learned from over the years. This truck isn't just a tribute to my business success; it signifies the efforts of hundreds of individuals who have supported me and reminds each of us about the values this industry was founded on hard work, entrepreneurship, and teamwork."
The restored truck is now a symbol for Brock Supply Co., and is being displayed at their booth at this year's exposition. The company also has mini-replicas on hand to distribute to full- registration convention attendees.
Brock Supply Co., a family business, is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, and has distribution centers in Virginia, Texas, as well as an office in China. ARA is pleased to have Brock Supply Co. as a Diamond Sponsor.
